The
Bond Committee is the Fixed Income arm of The Norwegian Society of
Financial Analysts. The Committee undertakes market issues concerning
the Norwegian Bond Market. The Committee consists of participants from
all sides of the Market – Investors, Issuers, the Stock Exchange, the
Central Bank and Brokers. The wide representation is the committee’s
main advantage in solving structural issues. |

Last year the Committee worked with the following issues:

In 2001 we will focus on the following: Training: We will develop an introductory course for the one-year “NFF Fixed Income Analyst” training program. This course can work as a separate training program for self-study. Harmonisation: The
Bond Committee wil Securitization: Norwegian
legislation is not adapted to the Norwegian issuers’ needs for securitizing assets. Such
securitization is important for the Bond Market in
Norway. Seminars: The
committee will host three half-day seminars. We will invite leading
Macro Analysts and Strategists to discussions on the outlook for world
markets. We will also invite Academia to present recently published
papers of interest to the Bond Markets. Corporate Bonds: The
committee will contribute to the development of this new market. We will
continue our work on standardisation of bond documentation. Internet: The committee is responsible for the content of the Society’s Fixed Income pages on its Internet site. We will provide information about the Norwegian Bond Market. |
